Frequently Asked Questions

Are all of the classes both online and in person?

Yes. I happily offer either for all of the classes. For adult classes or revision sessions, I can run hybrid sessions if some are in-person and others would prefer to be online. You can also mix it up and do some online and others in-person. Flexibility is key!
Can I do a session with a friend(s)?

Of course. Learning a language with a friend is great fun! If you get in touch and let me know and we can always sort sessions for 2,3 or even 4 of you. This will also make the sessions a little cheaper for each individual as I don't charge full price for each individual. For example, a Spanish A Level session for 2 would be £70 meaning it's £35 each per hour as opposed to £50 each. Contact me for other specific enquiries on this.
Do you run special deals on multiple bookings?

Yes. If you look in the classes section, there are packages which will give you a free class if you bulk-book. It will also be cheaper if you book with a friend and we can discuss this on a case-by-case basis.
How will the sessions be delivered online?

They will be via Microsoft Teams as I have found this the most productive and useful format for educational purposes. I will set up all of the invites and all you will need to do is accept!
How can you guarantee online sessions are safe?

I have got an Enhanced DBS certificate and can show this to all prospective clients in the initial chat. I will also record all online sessions for safeguarding purposes.
What is your cancellation policy?

It is 24 hours but I fully understand that some circumstances are unforeseen and I will be very understanding. We can always postpone the session for a future time.
How do I pay?

You can either pay through the website, via BACS or in cash on the day of the session(s).
Can you tell me more about the holiday revision sessions?

Yes! These will take place in the school holidays. I will publish a timetable along with topics/themes/skills/grammar covered and you can choose which you would like to sign up to. More to come! If you are interested in these, do let me know and I will ensure you get early bird info and prices!
Which Exam Boards do you cover?

I am familiar with all GCSE, IGCSE and A Level examination boards. If you are worried that I may not have the expertise you require, please ask me in our initial chat or email me.
Can you come to my house?

If you are within a 10-mile radius of my home and it works out better for you, of course I can come to your home for the session.
I am more interested in the culture than the language. Is this something you offer?

Yes! I can make the sessions culturally based or a real mixture of both language and culture. All of my sessions will have an element of culture in them as it's the authentic way to learn a language and of vital importance.
What do you mean by mentoring?

Mentoring and guidance covers a whole host of different themes and issues. I recommend you let me know what it is you are interested in or struggling with and I will coach you and talk you through some ways forward. A few examples might be around subject choices for the next stage of your educational journey, friendship issues at school or how to navigate a certain path at school. Let's talk!
What about Interview Preparation?

I can advise as to how best to prepare for school or university interviews. I can carry out mock interviews with you and give you thorough feedback and concrete ideas and guidance going forward. This can either be for general interviews or Modern Languages interviews for university.
